Barbeque festival tour in Akhtala - August 18, 2019
Every year in Akhtala province (Lori Region) "Barbeque festival" is being held. The festival is very well known all over the world and has participants not only from Armenia, but also from Armenian diaspora. Dozens of individual cooks and restaurants present different kinds of barbeque: from meat, fruits and vegetables.
The "Barbeque Festival" is not only a festival of taste. During the festival you will become the witness of Armenian culture diversity. Dancing, singing and other branches of Armenian culture are represented during the festival.
The festival also includes an open competition, so attending to the festival in Akhtala you will have an opportunity to prove your abilities and not be afraid to compete with experienced and famous cooks.
Before attending the festival we will visit two monastery complexes which are registered in UNESCO։ Haghpat and Sanahin. Afterwards, we will take part in the "Barbeque Festival" tasting the assortment of Armenian barbeque on the spot. On the way back we will enjoy seeing the Akhtala church and castle.
